Eclectic A-Frame Kitchen
Top to Bottom Amazing
Kitchen
This outdated A-Frame with river and mountain views was is need of a top to bottom remodel. Most of the interior walls were removed allowing for a super modern, open floor plan with the focus outside. The incredible window wall was completely refurbished and painted black. The top row of windows, which were previously boarded up, were added back in as the original plans intended.
An eclectic mix of Midcentury furnishings, a 1969 Italian “Plona” chair and a vintage Venini Murano Glass chandelier act as the jewelry and together they infuses personality into the project. The new KFF leather barstools add maximum interest and comfort. The brand new HVAC system was cleverly designed with expose ducting for an industrial feel.
The bright grass green in the kitchen and furnishings speaks to the view out window wall and adds a bright, fun component to the project. The floor to ceiling fireplace clad in Shou Sugi Ban (Japanese charred wood) acts as the main focal point in the space, picking up on the black windows and handrail. A bioethanol fireplace from Net Zero Fire warms things up sustainably and the curved concrete hearth offers extra seating for guests. European laminate on the lower cabinets and a Quartz countertop aren’t only stunning, but are virtually maintenance free.
