1. A conversation and in-home consultation
Every design-build project starts with a phone call to learn about you, your home, and what you’re imagining. If we both think we might be a good fit, we’ll schedule a complimentary in-home meeting to learn more and start getting inspired.
At this meeting we discuss design ideas, scope of project, timelines, budget, retainer and process. We also provide an estimated price range of what your project would cost based on our discussion.
2. Collaborating with designers
Once we receive a Retainer Agreement, we put you in our queue and schedule the first design meeting at your home.
We hope you’re as excited as we are to get started!
At this meeting we document your project with measurements and photos. We also discuss design details, materials and preferences in greater detail.
Once we have the Initial 2D CAD plans ready they are presented either digitally or at your home for review. Your feedback is welcome as we highly value client collaboration.
We then make revisions and updates to the design for the Walkthrough that are “Semi-final”.
Throughout the entire process, we will continue to refine the designs with 3D CAD plans to help visualize your new space and assist in making materials selections.
3. The walkthrough meeting
With the semi-final designs completed, our team will schedule a “Walk Though” with the trades working on your project to come look at your home. This meeting allows for discovery and discussion about the design, scope and site conditions to obtain final pricing for you. It is a vital part of our process because we problem solve with all trades, which cuts down on surprises once we begin construction.
4. Kicking things off!
Before we hammer a single nail, our Project Manager will meet at your home for a “Pre-Start” meeting to cover all housekeeping items and prepare you to begin construction.
There’s plenty of time to ask questions and we want you to feel confident that your home is in good hands. We’ll also explain the timeline for construction and next steps.
Construction will start and before you know it and you’ll be loving your newly remodeled home.
